History:
VPE/Venture Sales
is a manufacturer’s representative firm, started in 1993 by Vincent Pirro,
that specializes in the sales of RF, Wireless and Microwave components to
military or commercial companies building telecommunications systems in Maryland,
Virginia and the District of Columbia. We represent some of the world’s
finest RF and Microwave Companies. Products include Wireless modems, v sat,
point to point communications equipment. Also cellular base stations, receivers,
transmitters etc. We currently service more than 450 accounts with more than
1000 customers throughout our territory. We have two office locations. One
in Mt. Airy, Maryland and another in Lovettsville, Virginia.
Philosophy:
The company philosophy
is to provide customers with superior service throughout the entire life cycle
of a program, from design to prototyping to production. This is accomplished
by:
- Developing relationships
with Engineering, Purchasing, and Program Management, and matching customer
requirements with the capabilities of our suppliers.
- Understanding
the importance of communicating prompt and accurate information between
customer and supplier.
- Maintain a close
relationship with our suppliers so that we can present their product line
and technical innovations, and also recommend new product developments to
the supplier for which there is a market.
- Providing our
suppliers with an accurate business picture of the territory by providing
customer forecasts, and communicating information of new accounts and opportunities.

service and to be recognized as one of the premier representatives in our
market who adds value to our customers and provides a unique advantage to
those principals whom we proudly represent.
Sales Representatives:
Vincent Pirro III
has been a manufacturer’s representative for seventeen years. Prior to
founding VPE/Venture Sales in 1993, he worked for VPI, a well known rep firm
on the east coast, as a sales representative covering many of the major accounts
in the Maryland, Virginia, and Washington D.C. area. During this time, he
has formed lasting relationships with key people in the major military and
commercial accounts in this territory.
Bill Sassak joined
the company in 1997. He was one of the original partners and President of
American Computer Development Corporation prior to joining us. He brings with
him over 18 years of sales experience. Bill brought with him four lines that
he has held for the past fifteen years. His lines are mostly PC Board Mfg.,
both mil QPL and Space Qualed and Commercial Bel Core and ISO 9002. His lines
along with Vincent Pirro’s RF and IF devices makes for a very complete
line list.
